Dag Hammarskjold Memorial Scholarships Fund Fellowships for Journalists This fellowship provides an opportunity for journalists from Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America to cover the 60th U.N. General Assembly Session beginning in September 2005. The fellowship covers round-trip airfare to New York; modest hotel accommodations; health insurance for the duration of the fellowship, and a daily allowance to cover food and other necessities.

East-West Center Media Programs The Media Program develops seminars, study tours, lectures, conferences and briefings to promote among journalists a greater understanding of and appreciation for the United States-Asia-Pacific region. International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) Fellowship Program for International Women Journalists The IWMF Fellowship Program offers women journalists from around the world the opportunity to receive on-the-job training with top media companies in the United States. The four-month fellowship is available to women journalists living and working outside of the United States. U.S. and international journalists working in the United States are not eligible.
IWMF Courage in Journalism Awards and Lifetime Achievement Award IWMF's Courage in Journalism Awards honor women journalists who have shown extraordinary strength of character and integrity while reporting the news under dangerous or difficult circumstances. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a woman journalist who has a pioneering spirit and whose determination has paved the way for future generations of women in the media.
IWMF Judy Woodruff Fellowship The fellowship offers a woman journalist who has received an IWMF Courage in Journalism Award the opportunity to enhance her journalism skills, research new stories and reach an understanding of how journalists work in the United States. It also offers her a chance to share the story of her own struggle for a free press with an audience beyond women who are involved with Courage programs.
IWMF Public Health Journalism Fellowship The IWMF Public Health Fellowship program offers women newspaper editors and radio producers who cover public health issues in eligible countries the opportunity to receive on-the-job training with top media companies in the United States. The fellowship also requires that a fellow conduct a public health journalism project in her home country.

Knight International Press Fellowships Sponsored by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, this program awards fellowships to approximately 22 U.S. journalists and news executives annually. Recipients can spend from two to nine months abroad in a variety of teaching, training, consulting and assistance roles, usually working in conjunction with overseas media centers. The program pays expenses and provides a stipend.
Knight Science Journalism Fellowships at MIT MIT's mid-career program is designed for experienced journalists who cover science, technology, medicine or the environment, or journalists who wish to prepare themselves to cover these fields. Fellows spend an academic year on campus, attending courses and participating in twice-weekly seminars with researchers.
Knight Public Health Journalism Fellowships (National CDC Foundation) With funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the CDC Foundation administers two programs for working journalists to explore public health reporting at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
Kurt Schork Awards in International Journalism The Kurt Schork Awards in International Journalism recognize independent and professional reporting that addresses controversial issues. Two prizes are awarded each year: one to a local reporter in a developing country or nation in transition and the other to a freelance journalist covering international news.
